Screening of new reactions for lipid conversion and development of production processes for functional lipids

我们对丝状真菌高山Mortierella alpina进行了相关研究，该真菌能产生富含花生四烯酸和二十碳五烯酸等有益脂肪酸的微生物油。首先，我们构建了该真菌的基因操作系统，并通过代谢工程提高了其脂质产量。这种染色不仅积累了有益的脂肪酸，而且还积累了独特的甾醇。其次，我们通过分子育种对参与甾醇生物合成途径的酶基因进行评估，以提高该真菌的甾醇产量。

We worked on the research related with filamentous fungus Mortierella alpina which produces microbial oils rich in beneficial fatty acids such as arachidonic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid. First, we constructed a gene manipulation system of this fungus and enhanced the lipid productivities by metabolic engineering. This stain accumulates not only beneficial fatty acids but also unique sterols. Second, we evaluated enzyme genes involved in sterol biosynthetic pathways to improve sterol productivities by molecular breeding of this fungus.
