Research on the Evolution of the Sense of Disparity and RedistributionPolicy in Economic Globalization

本研究的目的是从理论和实证两方面分析个人差距感对经济增长和地区差距的影响，并进行国际比较。我们在日本和新加坡进行了关于幸福和生活满意度决定因素的调查，并分析了收集到的数据。实证结果表明，非零和生活目标对生活满意度的影响在两国有很大的差异，这是由于不同的普遍条件。在新加坡，非零和生活目标对生活满意度有显著的正向影响。另一方面，在日本，非零和生活目标对生活满意度的影响并不显著。这一结果为日本日益增长的不平等感提供了一个极有可能的原因。

The objective of the research project is to analyze theoretically and empirically the influence of the sense of disparity of individuals on economic growth and regional disparity, together with international comparisons. We had conducted surveys on the determinants of happiness and life satisfaction in Japan and Singapore, and analyzed the data collected. The empirical results showed that the non-zero-sum life goals had very different influences on life satisfaction in these two countries due to different prevailing conditions. Non-zero-sum life goals had large positive influence on life satisfaction in Singapore. In Japan, on the other hand, the influence of non-zero-sum life goals on life satisfaction was not significant. This result offers a highly probable reason for the growing sense of disparity in Japan.
