Development of a novel charged-particle therapy combined with effects of tumor blood flow interruption

在小鼠实体瘤的基础上进行了治疗实验，以开发质子治疗和血管干扰剂AVE8062之间的新的联合治疗。[18F]氟代脱氧葡萄糖和[18F]氟异硝唑的高空间分辨率PET对肿瘤生长的治疗效果进行评估。PET扫描结果显示，质子疗法和AVE8062单独联合治疗可导致肿瘤内部广泛坏死，而肿瘤周围的肿瘤细胞在单一治疗后存活。提示接受一次联合治疗的肿瘤在二次质子照射后即可治愈。

Therapeutic experiments were performed based on a murine solid tumor to develop a novel combined-treatment between proton therapy and a vascular disrupting agent AVE8062. Therapeutic effects on tumor growth were evaluated from high spatial resolution PET using [18F] Fluoro-Deoxy-Glucose and [18F] Fluoromisonidazole. The results of the PET scans show that a single combined treatment between proton therapy and AVE8062 caused extensive necrosis in the inner region of the tumor, while tumor cells in the tumor periphery survived the single treatment. It is suggested that the tumor receiving the single combined-treatment can be cured after the second proton irradiation.
