Study of radiation induced ultra-fast charge transfer in condensed matter

将飞秒脉冲辐解系统的可测量波长从近红外区扩展到紫外区。研究了具有代表性的非极性液体正十二烷中的双子酸盐离子复合。作为结果，发现了激发自由基阳离子通过电离产生初级的间接证据。通过使用芳香族清除剂，发现被激发的自由基阳离子具有很高的反应活性。测得该自由基阳离子的摩尔吸光系数为13950M-1 cm-1，G值为2.5。在正十二烷中的初始电离产率G值为4.5。在240 nm处观察了烷基自由基的形成过程，并在7ps处得到了烷基自由基的形成时间。发现激发态自由基阳离子参与了十二烷的辐解反应。它是量子束科学和辐射化学中非常重要的知识。

Measurable wavelength of a femtosecond pulse radiolysis system was extended to ultraviolet from near-infrared region. Geminate ion recombination was researched in n-dodecane which is representative nonpolar liquids. As results, an indirect evidence of an excited radical cation which generated primary by ionization was found. By using an aromatic scavenger, it was revealed that the excited radical cation has high reactivity. Molar absorption coefficient and G-value of the radical cation was estimated as 13950M-1cm-1 and 2.5 respectively. And then, G-value of initial ionization yield in n-dodecane was disclosed as 4.5. Formation process of alkyl radicals was observed at 240 nm, and got formation time at 7 ps. It was found the possibility that the excited radical cation is involved in radiolysis of dodecane. It is very important knowledge for the quantum beam science and radiation chemistry.
