This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. To derive embryonic stem (ES) cell lines from vervet (African green) and cynomolgus monkeys and attempt to direct into dopaminergic neurons for treating Parkinson's Disease in a nonhuman primate model. ES cells continue to be cultured for this project. No publications yet. No outside funding source was submitted with this update. This research used WNPRC Animal Services and Stem Cell Resources. No outside funding source was provided for this report.
