This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This is a clinical trial supported by the National Institute on Aging for an eighteen month period of exposure in which patients with Alzheimer's disease are randomized to receive a combination of vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and folate versus placebo to evaluate the ability of these agents to delay the progression of Alzheimer's disease (via a homocysteine-lowering mechanism).
