This RTI proposal requests funding for a small-scale helium reliquification facility dedicated to an existing cluster of cryomagnetic instruments in the Department of Physics at the University of Toronto. These instruments are primary tools for materials research covering a broad range of scientific topics with potential technological applications. They are heavily used by over 15 researchers, and their combined cost is well over one-million dollars, yet they now frequently sit idle for long periods because liquid helium, which is required for their operation, has become unaffordable.
