英文摘要
The high-resolution omnidirectional video camera will enable us to conduct novel research in capturing image-based virtual environments. An omnidirectional camera simultaneously captures a scene in all directions. Omnidirectional cameras are used to record image-based virtual environment, e.g., in Google Streetview, and for visual odometry in mobile robot navigation. In computational photography, one common use of omnidirectional cameras is as a lightprobe sampling the incident light at a point. A lightprobe enables one to correctly illuminate a virtual object in augmented reality applications.
