There has been a recent surge in interest in developing indene and indane analogues as either reagents or intermediates for drug discovery and development. This partnership project between Brock University and Syn Pharmatech Inc. aims at developing chemistry and chemical processes for the preparation of indene and indane analogues on gram to kilogram scales to meet the increasing demand for these compounds in drug discovery and development and diagnostic tools.
