英文摘要
The main sources of water contamination come from pharmaceutical production plants, hospitals and personal care products etc. are frequently detected in the aquatic environment, even in drinking water at trace levels, raising the potential risks to the environment and human health. These organic compounds are hardly eliminated by conventional treatment methods, such as physicochemical and biological processes. ****Photocatalytic technology is the most important and viable way for the removal of these organic pollutants. In this project, we will develop the new generation of full-sunlight-driven photocatalysts with electron storage for remediating contaminated water both in day and at night from industrial processes such as crude oil and pharmaceuticals conversion processes. An extraordinary full-spectrum absorption and electron storage ability give this new type of materials a great potential in the water/wastewater industries. The target of this project is to achieve new solar-driven systems with the required efficiency, scalability, and sustainability to be economically viable.****
