The College of St. Catherine will replace its current Newtonian Reflector Telescope with a Schmidt-Cassegrain, computer-controlled telescope system. The new telescope will support expanded use with photometric and astrophotographic projects. Additionally, the modern design allows safer utilization by novice observers. This will especially permit student research projects by Physics majors, pre-service teachers and other non-science students.
