Flow Channeling In Soft Clays

本文的目的是研究当流速超过某一临界值时，土中集中流道的发展，以便更好地了解极软土在固结过程中的行为。流道的形成可能会使固结理论在这些情况下的应用失效，并可能通过增加水力导率和加速固结过程产生有益的影响。

The objective of this proposal is to study the development of concentrated flow channels in the soils when flow velocity exceeds a critical value in order to have a better understanding about the behavior of very soft soils during consolidation. The formation of flow channels could invalidate the application of consolidation theory to these cases and potentially could have a beneficial effect by increasing the hydraulic conductivity and accelerating the consolidation process.
