9319619 Kulkarni Block international travel funds are requested for an International Workshop on "Computing and Intelligent Systems" to be held in Bangalore, India from December 20-23, l993. The conference venue is the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, a Premier Research Institute in India. This conference is organized by the Indian Institute of Science in cooperation with the Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore. The Workshop is planned to comprise a series of invited presentations by frontline researchers in the areas of Computer Science and Intelligent Systems, and will include talks by several Indian faculty and graduate students. One of the primary objectives of the workshop is to bring together leading researchers and distinguished alumni in these areas, to discuss and exchange ideas on frontier topics of research. This conference will attract scientific workers in the area from all over the world and will thus provide a forum for global technical interaction. The requested funds will be instrumental in improving the technical success of the meeting by enabling participation of a sufficient number of key U.S. researchers. ***
