Horizons Exploration Program (Years V and VI)

9353867 Austin The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) seeks to provide a six-week summer residential, Young Scholars project with follow- up during the academic year for 40 students entering grade 9. The students will engage in classroom lectures and discussions, field trips, and hands-on laboratory and research experiences in biology and chemistry. The students will be involved in a research project under the guidance of University of Maryland Baltimore County faculty members serving as mentors. The program will also include mathematics, computer, and technical writing instruction.
