9423887 Heterick Educom proposes to convene a process ot plan and analyze the technical aspects of establishing a very-high speed backbon Network Services vBNS), operational infrastructure within the campus research and education community. Participants in this workshop will include university networking managers, faculty with relevant discipline interests and background, and representatives from the vBNS connectivity provider. The results of the workshop will be incorporated into a written report which will form the basis for work in the second phase, which deals with preparation of specific consortia proposals for project funding.
