The request includes funds for planning, food, travel, and evaluation support.The objectives of the workshop are to:. Promote awareness of the role of CI in conducting research and. Engage scientists on the use of tools in support of CI based tasks.The expected outcomes of the workshop will be a:. Report on the assessment of the workshop, participant's experience and reactions, andidentification of scientist needs and difficulties when using both Kepler and WDO-It insupport of cyberinfrastructure tasks and. Experience in running more extensive workshops (e.g., in coordination with the GEONSummer Institute for Geoscientists) that includes a broader audience.The funded activity will include assessment and evaluation to examine the usability of UTEP's WDO It tool, the quality of the generated abstract workflows, and the value of the workshop.
