项目摘要

The RF-MEMS-based oscillator, for which in phase 1 basic conceptional, numerical, experimental, and technological approaches have been derived, shall be developed towards a multi-frequency oscillator and, further on, to a hybrid-integrated MEMS synthesizer, aiming at covering the widely distributed spectrum of relevant mobile communication standards. For the upper UHF range, indirect analog frequency synthesis seems appropriate.Beside RF-MEMS resonators (surface waves), the BAW resonators (volume waves) from TP-B2 shall be compared with respect to frequency range and system relevant properties (especially phase noise and temperature stability). Jointly with the project group C, the various circuit blocks shall be implemented and assembled on a SiCer substrate, aiming at high quality factors and minimal parasitic effects. The circuit design and layout consider the methods and models derived in project group A. Further relevant activities are devoted to the implementation, characterisation, and integration of the MEMS synthesizer into the holistic multi-physical MUSIK demonstrator.
