In gemeinsamer Forschungsarbeit mit der Unternehmensgruppe ThyssenKrupp Presta Camshafts soll das wichtigste Fügeverfahren für gebaute Nockenwellen erstmals auf den Einsatz von Aluminiumwellen in Kombination mit Stahlnocken erweitert werden. Die aus den unterschiedlichen Wärmeausdehnungskoeffizienten erwachsende Herausforderung wird erst durch eine durchgängige und hochpräzise Simulation des sehr komplexen, mehrstufigen Fertigungsprozesses beherrschbar.
