Model developement of mineral interfaces

The goal of this research group is to explore model surfaces for complex mineral interfaces at the atomic level in order to make a valuable contribution to innovation. The group's research focuses on both natural Mineral interfaces, such as wollastonite and synthetic mineral interfaces. Here the use of model surfaces is the key to bridge the gap between applied technologies and basic research. Model surfaces will allow new, meaningful,experimental and theoretical methods which are till now only of limited use on complex mineral interfaces on the macroscopic scale.
