After the final excavation at the Middle Pleistocene site Bilzingsleben (county Sömmerda, Federal Free State of Thuringia, Germany) the non-flint rocks of the 1969-2002 excavation will be investigated. The aims of this research are a reviw of the results of the 2004-2007 excavation, a discussion of presence of pebble tools as well as a reconsideraton of the archaeological interpretaton of the site.
