The aim is the continuity and further development of the FID Theologie and its core service, the specialist database IxTheo, in terms of content, organisation and technology. In doing so, the FID supports and promotes the open access publication and accessibility of theological literature through three fields of action: (1) transformation of existing journals and new publications on the IxTheo Open Journals platform, (2) expansion of the service for scholars for the secondary publication of their articles in the subject repository with a focus on Germany and Great Britain, and (3) digitisation on demand. Furthermore, cooperation with other national and international bibliographic undertakings will be expanded. Further special bibliographies will be migrated to the IxTheo. Another focus will be on cooperation with the FID History, FID Classical Studies and FID East, East-Central and Southeast Europe located at the Bavarian State Library (BSB).
