项目摘要

全期間の研究の目的は、明治期の「履歴史料」を用いて、地域の「知識労働者」のリテラシー形成及びキャリアパスの実態について、明らかにすることである。令和4年度は、「知識労働者」として、（1）「教育令期」の長崎県の小学校女性教員、（2）技術官や最低俸給額未満の判任文官を対象に研究を進めた。（1）については、成果を論文として発表した。（1）について、長崎県の小学校女性教員8名の履歴書から任用時のキャリアを検討し男性教員のキャリアと比較し、女性教員特有のキャリアについて明らかにした。女性教員のキャリアに関わる特徴として、1つに当該期の女性教員は男性と比較しても秀でた学習履歴を有していた。2つに、女性教員の身内（父や夫）の特色として、長崎県の有力な教員や職員や士族という点が明らかになった。当該期の女性教員をとりまく状況は、女性蔑視、女性教員への嫌悪、学力の点で男性教員より劣ると考えられていたため、女性教員は歓迎されていなかった。そのため、女性教員は高い学習履歴を有していても地域から信頼を得られない可能性があり、影響力のある父や夫を「後ろ盾」にすることで乗り切ろうとしたと考えられる。（2）について、技術官や判任文官の詮衡に関わる文書を解読、整理した。そして、これらの官吏に求められた知識技能とその水準について、検討した。そして、判任文官への任用資格を付与する試験において、どのようなカテゴリーの学力が求められていたのかについて検討した。
