今年度は，予定していた5つのテーマに取り組み，それぞれ以下のような成果を挙げた。(1)初年度に作成した日本版かわいい乳児顔（JCIF）データセットに含まれる乳児顔に対する表情筋筋電図を分析した。その結果，乳児顔に対する大頬骨筋・眼輪筋の反応は，意図的に作る笑顔よりも強度が低く，不随意的に生じていることが示唆された。(2)柔らかいものを抱いた状態で動物の写真を見る実験を行い，身体感覚がかわいい感情に与える影響について検討した。その結果，かわいさの評定値にはほとんど影響がなかったが，表情筋活動や気分質問紙から柔らかいものを抱くことは不快が低減させる効果があることが示された。(3)ガウス過程選好学習のアルゴリズムに基づき，かわいさ知覚をもたらす動的特徴についてのアーム型ロボットを使った予備調査を始めた。その結果，動きそのもののかわいさを評価することは難しいことが分かり，かわいさ判断にはベースとなる外観的特徴が必要であることが示唆された。(4)大学生における「かわいい」瞑想の効果について参加者を追加することで検討した。さらに，次年度以降の介入実験に使用する動画を作成した。(5)ロボットを用いて対象の数とそれらの関係性の認知がかわいい感情に与える影響について検証した。その結果，2個体が関係性（身体や視線の接触）を表出しているときに最もかわいいと評価されることが明らかとなった。さらに，以下のような萌芽的な取り組みも行った。(1)日本におけるペットと飼い主の関係について600名規模のオンライン調査を分析し，性別や子の有無によってペットへの愛着の程度が変わるという結果を得た。(2)幼児に対するかわいさの評価が性格の記述によっても変化することをオンライン実験によって示した。
