项目摘要

本研究は、社会性食肉目動物であるリカオンを対象に、社会的動機（あくび伝染の有無や他個体への寛容性）や社会行動（協力行動）を定量化し、本種の社会的認知能力を検証することを目的とした。そのために、本種におけるあくび伝染の有無やあくび伝染の頻度に影響を与える要因の検証（研究①）、餌を利用した他個体への寛容性の評価（研究②）、他個体との協力行動や行動の同期の有無、その程度を評価する（研究③）こととした。対象は日本の動物園で飼育されている成獣個体である。現在、研究①の11個体を対象としたあくび伝染の有無についての調査が終わり、論文執筆活動を行なっている。研究②については現在調査を行っており、データを取得している。しかし、研究対象個体が繁殖や出園を理由に減ったり飼育グループが変わったりしたために、研究内容を変更する必要があった。そのため研究計画を練り直している段階である。研究③は研究②と同様の理由で、まだ調査が実施できておらず、研究②と同様に研究③の研究内容を練り直している。また新たな研究として、本種の「匂い」についての調査を新たに計画している（研究④）。研究④の目的は、社会的コミュニケーションシグナルとして重要と考えられる本種の強烈な「匂い」を研究題材とし、本種の社会的認知能力を評価することとした。これらの研究により、イヌ科で最も洗練された社会性を持つと言われる本種の社会的動機や社会行動、そしてこれらを可能とする社会的認知能力についての知見を得る。

The purpose of this study is to quantify social carnivores 'cognitive abilities, social motivation (whether they are individual or not) and social behavior (cooperative behavior). A study of the main causes of infection (study 1), evaluation of the tolerance of bait utilization and other individuals (study 2), evaluation of the existence and degree of cooperation and action of other individuals (study 3). In contrast, Japanese zoos breed adult animals. Now, 11 individuals in the study are involved in the investigation of whether there is any contamination, and the writing of papers is carried out. Study 2: The current investigation is conducted in the middle of the study. The reason for breeding and research individuals is to reduce the number of breeding and research subjects. The research plan is straightforward. Research ③ is conducted on the basis of research ② and the same reasons, investigation ② and the same research ③. New research projects are planned for this species (research ④). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the social cognitive abilities of the species. This research focuses on social motivation, social action and social cognitive ability.
