项目摘要

本研究は、1907年刊『日台大辞典』の「緒言」における東アジア漢字音の対照研究について検証することを目的としている。前年度は「緒言」における東アジア各漢字音の対照部分についてデータベース化を行った。このデータベースをもとに、「緒言」の各漢字音について、J. MacGowan English and Chinese Dictionary of the Amoy Dialect（『英厦辞典』）、C. Douglas Chinese-English Dictionary of the Vernacular or Spoken Language of Amoy（『厦英辞典』）、H. A. Giles A Chinese English Dictionary、S. W. Williams A Syllabic dictionary of the Chinese Language（『漢英韻府』）等、「緒言」が典拠とした文献との照合を行い、この「緒言」の対照研究の有用性について検証した。この成果を受けて、今年度は台湾・台南で開催された「第十四屆台灣語言及其教學曁台灣學「蛻變的聲音」國際學術研討會」（2022年8月27・28日）で口頭発表を行った。その際、『日台大辞典』の編纂者である小川尚義における、江戸時代の漢字音研究からの影響関係も重要である、また後世のカールグレン（B. Karlgren 、高本漢）の『Etudes sur la Phonologie Chinoise』（『中国音韻学研究』）との影響関係についても、考察すべきであるとの指摘を受けた。それらの知見を承けて、今年度はデータベースに上記文献の内容を追記するとともに、「緒言」がやはり典拠としていた江戸時代の太田全斎『漢呉音図』の内容も追記した。またカールグレン『中国音韻学研究』との対照も行った。
