项目摘要

研究の目的は、既存の民俗誌データを活用して民俗地図を作成し、かつそれを歴史方法論として提起することにある。そのため、研究遂行に不可欠な資料として、これまで自治体史編纂に関わって作成された民俗誌データについて情報収集をおこなった。第2年目となる2022年度は、過去において自治体史編纂に伴い多くの民俗誌が作成されたと思われる中部地方・関東地方・東海地方において資料収集を中心としたフィールドワークをおこなった。また、民俗誌データの中でも共通して記される傾向にある稲作習俗に絞ってデータの分析をおこなった。ただし、中部地方・関東地方・東海地方ともいまだコロナ禍にあり十分なフィールドワークをおこなうことができず、実施できたのは長野県・群馬県・静岡県の３県にとどまった。上記のフィールドワークの結果として、長野県においては長野県史編纂に伴い県内430地点（集落）において統一的な民俗誌調査がおこなわれ、そのデータが県により保存されていることが判明した。そこで県の機関に出向き、民俗誌データについて写真によりすべて記録した。撮影した写真の数は1万4千点に及ぶ。その解析は次年度以降の課題となる。また、長野県におけるインテンシブな調査と並行して、全国的な視点に立ち正月儀礼の一つである「餅なし正月」伝承について民俗地図を作成しその分析をおこなった。その結果、「餅なし正月」伝承はそれまで言われているように畑作文化の残存などではなく、あくまで「餅正月」を基盤にして成立する伝承であり、「餅正月」の一類型に過ぎないことが分布の上からも明らかになった。
