本研究では、認知症高齢者と家族の看護に関するICT（Information and Communication Technology）を活用した看護学生向けの倫理教育教材を開発し、教育効果を検証することを目的としている。学修目標・内容の抽出に向けて、並行している研究活動スタート支援「看護系大学における認知症高齢者の看護に関する倫理教育の実態把握と教育内容の検討」（COVID-19の影響により、研究期間を延長）で実施した国公立の看護系大学ホームページに公開されているＷＥＢシラバス記載内容の分析により得られた認知症高齢者の看護倫理に関する教育内容を整理した。さらに、看護基礎教育における認知症高齢者の倫理教育に最小限必要不可欠な教育内容（ミニマム・エッセンシャルズ）を抽出する予定であったが、研究が遅れたことで、ミニマム・エッセンシャルズを本研究の教材開発に活用できなかった。このことから、学修目標・内容の抽出・学修プログラムの設計について方法の変更も検討しながら、ICTを活用した教材開発に向けて、学会への参加や文献検討、関連書籍等により情報収集を行った。その結果、ICTによる学修効果だけではなく、【教員だけで教材を作成すると、臨床の場での看護実践と異なる部分が出てしまう】といった課題があり、臨床現場の看護実践を可視化することの必要性を確認した。そのため、平行して行っている研究で老人看護専門看護師や認知症看護認定看護師を対象とした調査を行い、倫理教育のミニマム・エッセンシャルズを明確にした上で、臨床現場の看護職が経験している認知症高齢者とその家族の看護に伴う倫理的な課題に特化した教材作成に繋げることが重要であると確認した。
