精神障がい者のリハビリテーションの目標は、病気や障害があってもその人らしく生活することである。精神科デイケアは、利用者がその人らしく生活するために非常に重要な施設である。精神科デイケアの大きな特徴は、プログラムを提供することである。一般的に、精神科デイケアは週4～6日実施され、医療チームが午前と午後の1日2回のプログラムを提供している。プログラムは約200種目もあり、利用者の生活を支えるための多種多様な内容になっている。利用者はこれらのプログラムに参加し、自分の目標を意識しながらさまざまな訓練を行う。精神科デイケアのプログラムは、利用者の生活機能の維持・向上や入院予防などに一定の効果がある。だだし、その一方で精神科デイケアの標準的な支援方法や治療方法は存在しないため、科学的根拠に基づくプログラム(Evidence-Based Practice) が少ない課題がある。統合失調症の利用者がその人らしく生活するため、統合失調症の利用者を対象とした科学的根拠に基づくプログラムの開発が必要である。今後の科学的根拠に基づく生活支援として注目されている方法には、ICF(国際生活機能分類)の活用がある。2021年度から2024年度の研究の目的は、ICFに基づき、生活機能を向上するためのプログラムを開発することである。今年度は、生活機能を向上するための介入プログラムの検討を行い、介入プログラムの修正を実施した。
