本研究は、中山間地域に暮らす高齢者の援助要請促進に向けた対策への示唆を得るため、高齢者の援助要請に至るプロセスおよびその促進・抑制要因を明らかにすること、被援助志向性の低い高齢者の実態把握と支援事例の収集の2点を目的としている。4か年計画の2年目である2022年度は、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響等から、地域高齢者を対象としたインタビュー調査の実施を見合わせ、文献レビューと調査計画の立案に注力した。研究者らとの意見交換を重ねた結果、高齢者の援助に対する意識・態度を明らかにするため、ビネット調査と呼ばれる手法を導入することにした。ビネット調査とは、対象者に様々な属性（悩みの種類や深刻度、サポート源など）の組み合わせからなる架空のシナリオや状況（ビネット）を提示し、それに対する意識・態度を尋ねるものである。これにより、どのような属性が対象者の意識・態度にどの程度寄与しているかを明らかにできる。援助要請に関する文献レビューやヒアリングの結果を踏まえ、調査に用いるビネットの作成に着手した。また、それと並行して、本調査で使用する項目や尺度の精査・選定を行った。援助不安、被援助志向性、援助要請行動に関する尺度について、本調査への採否を決定するため、過去の中山間地域高齢者調査のデータを用いて、その妥当性と信頼性を確認した。次年度前期には調査票を完成させ、予備調査を実施する。後期には本調査を実施し、高齢者の援助要請に至るプロセスおよびその促進・抑制要因を明らかにする予定である。
