2022年度は、救急医療における延命治療の代理意思決定支援モデルを構築することを目指し、第1段階：救急医療における延命治療の代理意思決定支援モデルの構成要素の抽出のため、救急医療において延命治療の代理意思決定を行った家族の体験および代理意思決定支援とその効果に関する国内外の研究論文を収集しメタ統合の方法論を用いてメタ統合する予定であった。研究の進捗は遅れており、現在、国内外の研究論文を収集し、国内論文の分析は終了しているが、海外論文の分析が未着手のため、メタ統合に至っていない。また、2022年度は、第2段階：全国救命救急センターを対象に延命治療の代理意思決定支援の実態調査の質問紙を作成する予定であったが、メタ統合の結果に基づき質問紙を作成するため、こちらも着手できていない。2022年度に実施予定の内容を2023年度に実施する予定である。
