项目摘要

本研究では，知的基盤であるレファレンス情報源の生産というプロセスにおいて，誰がどのような役割をどのようにして担っているか，現在どのような課題を抱えているかを明らかにすること，レファレンス情報源の役割がどのように変わろうとしているのかを検討することを目的としている。2022年度は，2021年度に国立国会図書館より入手した書誌データを用いて，レファレンスブックの出版傾向の分析を継続し，5月に日本図書館情報学会春季研究集会において「我が国のレファレンスブックの出版傾向:国立国会図書館所蔵図書の書誌データに含まれる件名標目と分類記号を用いた分析」という題目で口頭発表した。さらに，このうち，レファレンスブックの出版点数に関するデータのみを整理して論文としてまとめ，12月に雑誌に投稿した。これらを通じて，レファレンスブックの出版点数は，全体としては1980年代から2000年代（種別により異なる）にピークを迎えた後減少していたが，その後減少傾向が続くものと，下げ止まりあるいは増加に転じているように見えるものとがあった。つまり一般的に考えられるように，インターネットの普及や情報源の電子化により，紙媒体のレファレンスブックが分野を問わず一律に減少しているわけではないことが示唆された。平行して，国立国会図書館から得たレファレンスブックの書誌データのうち，レファレンスブックの出版者に関するデータを集計した。出版年ごとレファレンスブックの種別ごとに集計すると，1者あたりの出版点数が大きく増減している種別と，1者あたりの出版者数が常に1冊程度でレファレンスブックを出版する出版者数自体が増減している種別とがあった。出版点数の増減や出版者数に見られるこれらの違いは，電子化の影響をどのように受けているかの違いであると推測される。
