项目摘要

2022年度はまだコロナ禍であったためケニアへの渡航は控えた。当初の予定では、2022年度は、タイ及びケニアにおいて補足調査（第2次本格調査）を行うと共に、学会等での成果発表、国内外の学術誌への投稿を準備すると計画していた。一方で、タイへの渡航が可能になったため、国際共同研究加速基金Aの採択により、タイ北部に長期フィールドワークに出てしまったため、ケニアへは行かずタイへ渡航した。ケニアに関して言えば、2021年度までにケニアにおいて収集したフィールドデータをもとに、アメリカ比較教育学会にて発表し、2本目の英文論文をケニアの共同研究者と執筆中である。現在校正中であり、終了次第、海外の雑誌に渡航する予定である。また、ケニアとタイの幼児教育に関する国際比較教育の調査結果を基に、茨城県立水戸桜の牧高校2年生を対象に、オンラインで講演会を実施した。タイにおいては、2022年8月より3月までタイ北部に滞在してフィールドワークを実施した。カレン、リス、モン、アカ、タイヤイの人々が住む村において、幼稚園教諭、保護者、政府関係者を対象として合計70名ほどにインタビュー調査を行い、幼稚園教育観および子ども観についてデータ収集を行った。加えて、幼稚園が再開したため、コロナ禍における幼稚園の実情についても調査を行うことができた。本研究の調査結果から得た知見を活用し、科研費基盤Bに応募し、採択されたので、今後は2ヶ国から6か国へと調査対象国を拡大し継続して実施することが可能となった。
