2022年度は、コロナ禍の影響により、現地調査が難しかったため、手元にある文献資料の把握と、Googleストリートビューを用いて考察を進めた。ヴェネツィア周辺のラグーナについては、地図史料から変化を概観し、日本建築学会において「ラグーナ・ヴェネタの歴史的変遷に関する研究」を発表した。河川による土砂の堆積で水面が埋め立てられたり、河川によって島が削られたり、地形の変化が激しいことを確認した。また、ヴェネツィア同様に群島だったラヴェンナにおいては、埋め立てが進み、完全に陸地になったことを確認した。ラヴェンナの形成過程においては、2023年度に掘り下げる予定である。また、グラード、アクイレイアについても見ていく。製塩業については、現在残っていないため、シチリアのトラーパニで情報を収集する予定である。ヴェネツィアの本土側については、主にパドヴァの形成史の考察を進めた。パドヴァに着目した理由は、ヴェネト州やエミリア・ロマーニャ州などに多く見られる「ポルティコ」が多く存在するためである。ポルティコは建設年代により形が様々で、そのポルティコの種類の豊富なパドヴァで、ポルティコの形状と年代の指標作成を試みた。ポルティコの建設年代の指標が作成できれば、ヴェネト州およびほかの地域の都市形成史の考察が可能となる。パドヴァでは、ロマネスク、ゴシック、ルネサンス、バロック、ネオ・ルネサンス、現代など各時代のポルティコ形状が確認できた。2022年度は19種類を確認し、その年代把握に努めた。その成果をの一部を建築学会で発表した。2023年度は、引き続き、パドヴァの指標作成を行い、同時にヴィチェンツァ、トレヴィーゾ、メストレなどほかの都市および集落のポルティコ形状も考察し、形成過程を試みる。地域全体を把握することで古代ローマ帝国やヴェネツィア共和国の影響について考察を進める。
