本研究は、「看護学生の睡眠と健康関連QOLの関連についてクロノタイプに焦点をあてた実態調査」という前段階研究の結果をもとに、始業時間の違いにおける看護学生の睡眠および健康関連QOLを質問紙ベースの主観的評価とともに、睡眠－覚醒リズムや睡眠中の脳波測定といった客観的評価も用いて分析・評価することを目的としている。2020年度は新型コロナ感染症により、通常下の学生生活にならなかったため、研究実施を一旦中止し計画の見直しを行った。研究計画段階ではアクチグラフの測定を予定していたが、研究参加学生の状況等を勘案し、アクチグラフの測定は取りやめ、客観的評価は簡易脳波測定のみとした。2021年度より通常下でのを学生生活になったため、データ収集を開始した。研究対象は2限始業の1年生と、1限始業の2年生とし、研究協力の意思のある学生に対して朝型夜型質問紙を実施。各学年の朝型および夜型の学生をリクルートし、再度研究協力の意思を確認できた学生には約2か月/1クールとし、質問紙調査（クール開始時、1か月後、2カ月後）と連続7晩の自宅における簡易脳波測定・睡眠日誌記入を実施した。実施期間は、1クール目：前期6～8月、2クール目：後期11月～12月末だった。2022年度は、同一個人内において、進級に伴う2限始業から1限始業へ変化を検討するため、3クール目として前年度1年生だった学生のみ1クール目と同時期に同内容の質問紙調査と脳波測定を実施し、全データ収集を終了している。2023年度は、得られたデータ解析を進め、論文化する予定である。
