项目摘要

本研究は、生業道具資料から引き出せる情報を自然人文社会科学諸分野から総合的に考察し、未来に向けて活用をめざす研究枠組みを構築する。さらに、知識と技能を地域の財産として次世代に保存・継承等、相続させる方策に結びつけることを目的として、その実証研究を進めている。本年度は、収集・保存・記載情報の再検討と新たな手法の開発による在来知識の収集・保存・分析に向けた研究モデルを構築するための基盤整備、物質文化を活用した研究の発展、社会発信の活性化をめざすことを目的とした研究を進めた。1)竹材の利用と竹製生業道具の保存・展示・活用に注目した調査研究：広島県山間部において、現地調査を実施した。博物館における流域スケールでの体系的な収集による多様な生業活動とその道具類のバリエーション展開の提示とその地域差からとらえる視点、大型竹製品（漁具等）の保存と展示を兼ねた収蔵庫設置、製作プロセスを辿れる製作途中品も含めた収集物、それらの体系的な整理・収納方法が明らかとなった。また、竹製品の製作技術の伝承も行う地域拠点と活動により、技術習得、用途に応じた適材取得のための知識の伝承が行われていることも明らかとなった。また、埼玉県秩父地域においては、竹縄作りに注目して調査を進めている。本年度はその製作年にあたっており、竹材採取から製作に至るプロセスの映像記録作成の準備を進めていたが、新型コロナ感染症まん延中のため、一連の作業が中止となり記録作成を実施できず、適材の採取場所や適材に関する知識についての現地調査を実施したにとどまった。2)生業道具の保存・活用：埼玉県皆野町の農山村具展示館を対象として、保存資料の維持・管理方法の立案を実施し、現存資料のデータベース化と適切な資料保管について実地研究を進めた。また、愛知県犬山市のリトルワールドに収蔵される竹製生業道具の収集状況を調査し、地域別・用途別分類を行った。
