The project aims at the scientific edition and historical analysis of the hitherto unedited Old Babylonian lexical texts from Tell Harmal / Shaduppûm (Iraq), which are kept in the Baghdad National Museum. These cuneiform tablets constitute one of the most important coherent and archaeologically documented text corpora from Babylonia. The project is meant to be a pilot project initiating the complete edition of the texts excavated at Tell Harmal. The prospective project employee was granted official permission to publish the corpus by the Iraqi Department of Antiquities.
