・昨年度に引き続き、２０２２年度もCovid-19の影響により、遊行上人縁起絵諸本（光明寺本、大和文華館本、遠山記念館本）調査が再延期となり、当初予定していた成果が得られなかった。2023年度は、上記の遊行上人縁起絵諸本調査の再開実施ならびに分析・研究を継続して行う予定である。・遊行縁起絵諸本研究の間接的研究成果として、藤田美術館蔵「一遍上人像」の展示（２０２２年１０～１２月）と作品解説を行った。さらにそれに伴う調査・分析の結果、遊行寺蔵「一遍上人像」にきわめて近似しているが、画風から室町時代制作とされる遊行寺本よりも先んじて鎌倉～南北朝時代に制作された可能性があることを確認した。また箱書等の附属情報から、当該画像が第2巻熊野霊以前の「岩田越」の上人像であることが明らかになった。遊行寺本との比較分析を通して得た知見は、２０２４年度刊行予定の『國華』に掲載予定である。（現在執筆中）・昨年度から継続して、江戸時代に狩野派によって制作された東京国立博物館蔵「遊行上人縁起絵模本」と遊行寺乙本との比較を通して、両者の画風検討、ならびに制作時期と制作環境の近接性を精査している。近年IIIF Curation Platformを用いて、絵巻に描かれた人物の顔貌を抽出して様式検討を試みる顔貌コレクションプロジェクトがあり、そのようなメタデータも積極的に活用して、遊行上人縁起絵諸本間の画風検討と工房制作の異同を明らかにしていく予定である。
