项目摘要

新型コロナウイルスの影響によって、研究を開始することができず、開始時期が遅れた。感染が拡大している時期は、共同研究先との打ち合わせを進めていた。また、新型コロナウイルスの影響で研究が開始できない間に、本研究テーマであるビタミンB12についての知見を深めた。ビタミンB12は、体内での吸収経路が非常に複雑なビタミンであり、この点が本研究のテーマである萎縮性胃炎との関係において最も重要な点である。そこで、これに関連する最新のトピックスについて、海外からの報告状況も含めて調べた。さらに、我が国における水溶性ビタミン研究の普及の観点から、この内容を学術雑誌に総説として3本投稿し、全て採択された。具体的には、安定同位体標識ビタミンB12を用いたビタミンB12の新規吸収試験について、ビタミンB12の経口療法の臨床的有用性について、亜酸化窒素（笑気）とビタミンB12について述べた。これらの内容は、いずれも海外からの報告はあるものの、我が国では注目されていない内容であり、本研究を進めるに当たっても意義のある報告となった。2022年秋以降、共同研究先と具体的な打ち合わせを進めた。その後、共同研究先スタッフの新型コロナウイルス罹患で研究が再度中断したが、2023年3月に当初の予定通りの内容で研究を開始した。現在は、順調に研究対象者を増やして研究を進めている段階である。なお、2023年秋には、予定している対象者数に達する目途が立っている。
