项目摘要

・近代インドにおける理想の女性像の創出を照射することを目的とし、特にインド社会が大いに変動した1900年代、20年代、40年代にそれぞれ着目して、同じ時期に複数言語（ヒンディー、ウルドゥー、グジャラーティー、マラーティー、英語）で発行された女性雑誌の比較を試みた。・2022年度は3年ぶりの海外渡航が可能となり、各研究者は資料調査を行うことができた。各自が担当言語の主要雑誌を選定、収集し、概要を把握することに努め、その成果を対面またオンライン上の研究会において共有した。・本プロジェクトの研究成果の核の一つとなるホームページならびにデータベースの大枠が完成したため、入力項目の整理と収集した情報の入力を同時に開始した。2023年度中の一般公開に向け、入力作業をすすめた。・研究対象である近代のインド社会を、各人の研究分野に基づいて、特に女性、出版、言説というキーワードに着目して分析考察し、多数の論文や口頭発表にて成果発表を行った。その一例として、協力者の粟屋は20世紀初頭から展開したインドにおける女性運動の歴史を、複数名の女性を取り上げながら概説した。分担者井坂は、20世紀初頭のグジャラーティー語雑誌における日本表象に着目し、分析を行った。山根は19世紀後半のウルドゥー語資料を用いて、文学空間における宗教について考察した。飯田は「視線」に着目し、女性の身体動作の継承を分析した。研究代表者小松は、近代の女性向け雑誌の分析と言う共通の視点から、日本を対象とする研究者と合同で研究会を開催し、知見の交換を行った。これらの研究成果は、2023度以降の本プロジェクトの発展につながることが期待される。
