Crucial processes within cells depend on specific non-covalent interactions, which mediate the assembly of proteins and other biomolecules. We employ mass spectrometry and ion-mobility measurements to monitor protein stoichiometries, binding of ligands, lipid, and nucleotides as well as conformational changes and how these are interrelated. We will as well develop a method to investigate binding strength of membrane protein complexes in a quantitative way.
