運動機能障害を有する患者が，入院中を含め安全に生活を送るためには，基本動作の安定性・安全性の評価が重要であるが，ベッド上座位における側方移動（以下，横移動）に関しては，これまで積極的な検討が行われていない．本研究は，脳卒中片麻痺者におけるベッド上横移動動作の定量的動作分析を行い，その動作特性とリスク要因を明らかにし，横移動動作の安全性評価項目の立案とその妥当性を検討する．研究内容としては、１）健常者を対象としたベッド上横移動動作の定量的動作分析手法検討，２）脳卒中片麻痺者におけるベッド上横移動動作の定量的動作分析，３）横移動動作の安全性評価項目の立案と妥当性の検討を想定し，本補助事業においては，１）の健常者を対象とした検討に注力した．健常成人（臨床経験3年以上の理学療法士）を対象に，通常の横移動と，脳卒中片麻痺患者を想定した模擬横移動動作を実施し，それぞれ動作分析を実施した．動作分析には，Optotrak Certusを使用した．本装置は可搬性で，キャリブレーションをせずとも測定を開始できる反面，カメラが一点からの撮影のため，マーカー位置を工夫する必要があった．マーカーは胸骨柄，両側肩峰，両側膝蓋骨直上とした．結果，通常の横移乗動作は，移動方向と同じ方向に先行して体幹が側屈したのちに，臀部を移動させる動作であったのに対し，片麻痺の模擬動作では，健側方向は同様の動作であるが，麻痺側方向の移動では，反対の非麻痺側に体幹を側屈したのちに，臀部を麻痺側へ移動させる動作が見受けられた．すべての被験者で，概ね同じ傾向が認められた．以上より，健常成人と片麻痺患者では動作が異なり，本手法においてその差異を検出できるものと考えられた．本補助事業は，研究者が研究機関より退職したため中断となるが，引き続き，実際の脳卒中片麻痺における動作分析など，安全性評価の立案に向けた検討を要するものと考える．
