项目摘要

本研究は、フランスによるベトナム植民地統治の実態、植民地期ベトナムの社会構造や地域性について、度量衡（計量器、計量単位）の観点から分析・解明するものである。2022年度は、3年ぶりに12月25日から1月1日までの1週間ベトナム調査を行うことができた。3年ぶりということもあり、受け入れ先のハノイ国家大学ベトナム研究・科学発展院において調査時の現地サポートを行ってくれているスタッフと顔を合わせての打ち合わせ（現在の状況や今後の研究の方向性）を行うことができた。現地では、特に初等教育における度量衡教育の資料を収集した。数年前に国定教科書の法規が改正され従来国営の出版社のみが許可されていた教科書の発行が4社の出版社に拡大されたため、ハノイ国家大学のスタッフ（Do Van Kien氏）にそれら教科書が購入できる場所の調査・同行および購入補助を依頼し、それらの一部を購入することができた。また、歴史的な変遷を考察するため、ベトナム国家図書館において歴代の初等教育の国定教科書（主に1980年代）を閲覧した。その他新たに出版されたアヘンに関する文献なども現地書店で購入することができた。これまでベトナム現地調査時に行ったインタビュー録音のテープ起こしを行ってもらい、現地調査の内容をまとめる作業を進めている。昨年度の報告書でも言及した、フランス植民地時代以前の度量衡制度を明らかにする研究も進めている。昨年度調査した1800年代に宣教師が編纂した辞書およびベトナム人官僚によって編纂された1800年代の辞書に加えて、2022年度12月のベトナム調査で入手できた『大南國音字彙』（ベトナム人自身による最古の辞書・南部の語彙を収録）も対象に加えて検討している。
