项目摘要

本研究は、繁栄を誇った青銅器時代の文明が瓦解し、その後、現在まで文化的影響を残すことになる諸集団が現われたとされる東地中海世界の初期鉄器時代の様相の一端に、考古資料からせまるものである。2022年年度は、オルブライト考古学研究所を拠点に、主に、イスラエル国内に保管されているレヘシュ遺跡およびゼロール遺跡の出土資料の検討に取り組んだ。特に、レヘシュ遺跡は、青銅器時代の重要な都市遺跡として注目を集めるようになっているが、本年度の調査によって、本研究の対象である後期青銅器時代の後半（前13世紀）から鉄器時代IIA期後半（前9世紀）までの居住史と物質文化の大枠を具体的に復元できるようになった。ゼロール遺跡の出土資料の大部分についても、1960年代に発掘調査が実施されてから未整理の状態であったが、その一部を実見することができた。その結果、同遺跡に青銅器時代から鉄器時代への移行期（前12世紀）に居住が継続していたことを確認することができた。フェニキアと呼ばれる地域は、現在のレバノンからイスラエル北部の沿岸地域に相当するが、その南端に位置するゼロ－ル遺跡と、近隣地域の主要都市の1つであったレヘシュ遺跡の資料から得られた新知見を、報告書が出版され研究が進んでいる他の遺跡の様相と比較検討した。その結果、重要な点として、1）居住地と物質文化の継続性が強いこと、2）各地域で拠点となる都市の交替がみられること、3）その中で主要な（特定の？）交易ルートが形成されていった可能性が高いことが見えてきた。これらの要素は、「大きな変化」とされる青銅器時代から鉄器時代への移行期のローカルな実相であり、これをフェニキアの諸都市が発展した背景の一部として位置づけることができれば意義のある研究成果となる。

This study focuses on the impact of the Bronze Age civilization on the early Iron Age in the Eastern Mediterranean world and archaeological data. In the year 2022, the Institute of Archaeology has organized the research on the unearthed data of the Chinese relics and the Chinese relics.
