项目摘要

本研究は、東アジア木造建築史の創生に向け、東アジア各国・各地域の木造建築について、社会的・技術的・自然環境的な側面から総合的に比較する研究構想の一環として実施するものである。日本と中国・韓国における伝統的な木造建築に関する歴史的な用語の相互訳（日⇔中、日⇔韓）および英訳を通して、各国の建築に対する認識のずれを論点として抽出するとともに、比較研究の環境を整備する。さらに国際研究組織による時間軸に沿った系統的把握を通して、東アジアにおける建築文化の共通性、各国の建築の発展の特質を見出すことを目指す。2022年度は、基礎的な作業として、各国の建築に関する基礎的な文献の翻訳を進めた。前年度に引き続き、特に、和文中訳、中文和訳、韓文和訳に重きを置いた。各訳については、複数国の研究者により検討をすすめた。次年度以降も継続して、取り組み、同時に比較をおこなう予定である。このうち中文和訳の成果は、「中国・庭園建築用語解説」として、呉肇釗・陳艶・呉迪著、高橋知奈津監修、李暉監訳、岩谷季久子訳『中国古典庭園園冶図解』（科学出版社東京、2023年）に盛り込むことで、公表を図った。また過年度の研究成果は、楼慶西著、李暉・鈴木智大訳『中国の建築装飾』（科学出版社東京、2021年）に「中国建築用語解説」として盛り込み、刊行した。2021年度末には、対面による国際研究会として東アジア木造建築史研究会を開催予定であったが、残念ながらコロナウイルス感染症拡大のため中止した。ただし、これにかえて、2022年6月に開催された国際会議Annotation and Translation of Traditional Chinese Architecture Terminology 2022(ATTCAT2022)において、基調講演として、"Comparative study of East Asian wooden architecture terms through translation: Focusing on comparison between Japan and China"を発表し、成果の国際的な公表を図った。
