青年前期の子どもと親のためのFamily-based approachを応用したがん啓発教育プログラム開発のための資料を得るために2つの調査を行った．1．中学校・高等学校の教員のがんに対する意識とがん教育への取り組み【目的】中学・高校の教員のがんに対する意識とがん教育への取り組みを明らかにすること．【方法】ネットによる無記名式アンケート調査を行った．内容は，Cancer Awareness Measureの質問項目を用いた．【結果】800名の教員から回答が得られ有効回答が779名であった．中学校の教員が40.6%，高等学校が59.4%，平均年齢48歳，教員経験は平均23年であった．教員が認識していたがん危険因子は「喫煙」「副流煙」，警告症状は「しこりや腫れ」「体重減少」の順であり，受診への障壁は「忙しい」を1番にあげていた．学校でがん教育を導入していると回答した者は16.2%だった．2．中学生・高校生とその親のがんに対する意識調査【目的】中高生とその親のがんに対する意識及び親のがん検診受診行動を明らかにすること．【方法】ネットによる無記名式アンケート調査を行った．内容は，Cancer Awareness Measureの質問項目を用いた．【結果】中高生1～3年の各学年102名の合計612名とその親612名の総計1,224名から回答が得られた．中高生は男女ともに50%，親の平均年齢47.9歳であった．中高生とその親がともに認識していたがん危険因子は「喫煙」「副流煙」の順で，警告症状は中高生は「出血」，親は「体重減少」を一番にあげていた．受診への障壁として中高生は「怖い」「症状を話す自信がない」，親は「忙しい」「怖い」であった．親子でがんについて話をする機会があると回答した中高生は18.8%、親は16.9%と少なかった．今後2つの調査の詳細分析を行い，論文投稿する予定である．
