项目摘要

本年度は、前年度に投稿した英語論文の修正作業に多くの時間を費やし、3本が出版に至った。また、ヨーロッパの修復的正義の活動拠点である、European forum for restorative justiceの環境修復的正義のワーキンググループのメンバーとして、政策提言に向けた研究活動に参加した。その成果をthe World Society of Victimology 及びEuropean Forum for Restorative Justiceにおいて、共同で報告した。さらに、環境犯罪における修復的正義実践のケーススタディを行った。第一に、水俣地域で活動する「本願の会」に焦点を当て、「魂」を中心とする独自の生命思想や宗教観を背景にして、水俣病を伝える活動が展開されたことを明らかにした。水俣地域における社会運動と思想・宗教の関係を読み解き、その成果をEuropean Society of Criminology 及びAsian Philosophical Textsで報告した。第二に水俣地域でフィールドワークを行い、1970年代の患者運動のひとつである「自主交渉」に関する資料を収集した。「自主交渉」は、患者たち自らが、チッソの社長に対面で会い、水俣病の被害の補償を求めて対話を行った。この行動の根底には水俣の人々の「相対する思想」がある。この「相対する思想」を修復的正義の視点から分析する作業を進めている。本調査は、コロナ禍の影響により延期を余儀なくされていたため、現在も継続している。加えて、現在、水俣地域では、30代、40代の女性を中心として、朗読活動や紙芝居製作、シルクスクリーンワークショップなど、アートを通した水俣病を伝える活動が活発になっていることに気づいた。そこで、記憶の継承活動の世代交代について、ジェンダーの視点を取り入れて分析する研究に着手した。
