(A)理論研究①性暴力と「赦し」の問題について性暴力被害者にとっての赦しの研究を進め、学会発表や講演会を行った。さらに、二年間の研究成果を集約し、博士論文「性暴力被害者にとっての対話の意義　－－Restorative Justice（修復的司法）の実践を手がかりに－－」を執筆し、博士号を取得した。博士論文では、重篤なトラウマとなる性暴力の被害を受けた人が求める対話には、二側面があることを明らかにした。すなわち、（１）コミュニティ再統合を進める「修復的対話」と（２）被害者が加害者から解放されるために、過去に起きた出来事に向き合うための「解体的対話」の二側面である。博士論文は、2017年3月に出版予定である。②コミュニティと「赦し」の問題について本年度は、「赦し」の宗教的側面に迫るために現地調査を行った。平成27年度は、北米での調査を予定していた。しかしながら、昨年度の海外調査で欧米の研究者から「日本文化における赦しの宗教性」を調査することが喫緊の課題であることを指摘されため、大きく予定を変更し、水俣の「公害病患者」や、長崎の「隠れキリシタン」の問題に焦点を当てて現地調査を行った。水俣では、1990年代から公害病患者と行政が連携し、「もやい直し」事業を進めてきた。これは市民間対話の推進であり、修復的司法の取り組みとみなすことができる。被害を受けた患者たちが立ち上げた「本願の会」の中心メンバーである緒方正人や杉本栄子は、自然との対話の中で「赦し」を経験するという、独自の宗教観を打ち出している。修復的司法の視点から検討し、論文にまとめた。また、長崎ではキリスト教迫害の歴史の中で、信仰を守ってきた「隠れキリシタン」の問題が、近年の長崎の観光事業（世界遺産登録）の中で抜け落ちているという問題がある。行政が宗教的な問題を扱う困難について論文で指摘した。これらの論文は投稿中である。
