本研究ではまず数学基礎論の従来の理解を問いなおす作業を進めている。現在は研究代表者および3名の研究分担者(池田・菊池・黒川)がそれぞれに文献の検討をおこなっている。2021年度には以下のテーマを中心に研究が行なわれた。(1)ニュートンとライプニッツの無限小解析、および、その哲学的批判者たちの議論の検討（池田）(2)集合論における連続体問題研究の現状の分析とその哲学的評価（藤田）(3)現代の数学基礎論において連続体の論理的代替物として研究されている２階の自然数論および実閉順序体の理論の現状の分析（菊池）(4)証明や計算、構成といった概念の数学的定式化についての論理学的および哲学的考察（菊池・黒川）現時点での実績をまとめたものとして、位相数学の基礎概念を概説した書籍『位相空間のはなし』(日本評論社)を藤田が2022年7月に出版した。この書籍においては、位相数学の諸概念をあえてイデア的なものと位置づけ、図形的・直観的なイメージの世界と抽象的な論理の世界の往還をテーマとして解説している。また、藤田は、雑誌『数理科学』2022年7月号に、位相空間の距離づけ理論を概説した記事「距離空間と距離化定理」を執筆した。藤田・菊池・池田は、雑誌『数学セミナー』に実数と連続体に関連した記事をそれぞれ執筆し、これらは2023年6月号に掲載予定である。なお、2023年度が研究計画の最終年度であることから、これらのテーマに関する研究集会を開催することを計画している。

This study aims to improve the understanding of fundamental mathematical theory. Currently, there are three research collaborators (Ikeda, Kikuchi and Kurokawa). 2021 - 2020 (1)(Ikeda)(2) Analysis of the Current Situation of the Study of the Conjunction Problem in Set Theory and Review of Philosophy (Fujita)(3) Analysis of the Current Situation of the Theory of the Foundations of Modern Mathematics: Logical Substitutes for the Conjunction Problem and the Study of the Theory of Natural Numbers of Order 2 and the Theory of Closed Sequences (Kikuchi)(4) Proof of the Theory of Conjunction Calculation The formalization of mathematical concepts and the study of logic and philosophy (Kikuchi Kurokawa) The implementation of current points and the introduction of basic concepts of phase mathematics (Japan Review Agency) Fujita published in July 2022 This book is about the position of mathematics, the shape of mathematics, the abstract world, and the past. "Mathematical Science" July 2022,"Distance Theory of Phase Space" Fujita, Kikuchi, Ikeda, The final year of the 2023 research plan is the opening of the research meeting.
