令和4年度に実施した研究の成果は（1）前年度に引き続き、近代初期英国演劇におけるホスピタリティー表象の変遷を、ホスピタリティー演劇の諸相をデータベース化することをとおして解明したこと、（2）Conduct Literature for Women 1500-1640（2000）に所収されているコンダクト・リテラチャー（Juan Luis VivesのInstruction of a Christen Woman (1541)やThomas ElyotのThe Defence of Good Women (1545)など）におけるホスピタリティー表象に関する研究、（3）Robert Herrickの"Happiness to Hospitality, Or a Hearty Wish to Good House-Keeping"(1648)やAndrew Marvellの"Clarendon's House-Warming" (1667)を初めとする、近代初期英国におけるカントリーハウス・ポエムにおいて表象されるホスピタリティー概念の分析、（4）近代初期英国における贈与システムとホスピタリティー概念の変遷との関連性についての分析を行った。とくに（4）に関しては、Much Ado About Nothing (1598)や Coriolanus (1608)などのシェイクスピア劇の分析に焦点を合わせて、近代初期英国演劇における喜劇・悲劇・悲喜劇などのジャンル生成と、ホスピタリティーの構成要素である贈与の成立・破綻との間に関連性があることをテクスト分析をとおして実証した。
