项目摘要

世界の言語はどのような普遍性をもち、どのように異なるのか。本プロジェクトは、いわゆる時制の一致というような特徴はないものの、擬態語や擬声語、擬情語の豊かな日本語のような言語を基軸に、幼児言語と大人の文法の記述的理論的研究が、現代の文法理論（生成文法理論）の精緻化に貢献できるところについて取り組む。幼児の言語獲得の初期の段階においてMimeticsは主節不定詞としての性質を伴って「マイマイた」（ぐるぐるまわっているという意図をもった発話）や「パイた」（取り除いてほしいという意図をもった発話）として動詞的に使われる。この経験的事実は、幼児が親の語彙を単に模倣して学ぶことによって言語を獲得するのではないことを示しており、自らの知識を用いて、動詞を創造的に生成する力が生得的に備わっているとする仮説の論拠の一端となりうる。幼児の生産的なMimeticsを含む語彙の生成の方法は、若者言葉にみられる創造性と性質とも共通する。若者言葉の創造性と規則性については、本科研プロジェクトの前身となる17K02752の科研プロジェクトの成果の上にたちJohn Benjamins 出版社から2022年２月に書籍の一章の共著論文や国際学会発表を経て、国際学術ジャーナル（Morphology）や開拓者出版による『コーパスからわかる言語変化・変異と言語理論３』に発表されている。
